The General Management hereby sets out its policy regarding the environment, natural resources and the applicable legislation at the production sites located in Castelli Calepio (BG), Ospitaletto (BS), S. Zenone degli Ezzelini (TV) and Faggiano (TV), with a view to ensuring a continuously decreasing environmental impact.
To implement the above, Guarniflon SpA raises awareness amongst all staff and calls for their involvement, in the belief that they play an active role in achieving these objectives.
In particular:
- To protect the natural environment
- To comply with national, regional and local environmental laws and regulations
- To conserve natural resources by avoiding waste, particularly of non-renewable resources
It is the company’s policy to continue enhancing processes designed to recycle materials used within the company itself, whilst endeavouring to encourage customers, wherever and whenever possible, to use recycled materials
It is the company’s policy to maintain a high level of vigilance through systematic monitoring to verify compliance with plans.
This is achieved through periodic analyses and measurements, with a view to promoting any necessary actions to reduce the risks of adverse impact, whilst implementing preventive measures and continuous improvement.
It is the company’s policy to train staff and involve them by providing appropriate information on the results achieved and the objectives set, so that any anomalies are promptly reported and rectified by them.
It is the company’s policy to raise awareness amongst its suppliers so that they, too, act in a manner that respects nature and the environment.
It is the company’s policy to disseminate and share data, including with external parties (customers, the public and the authorities), in order to ensure transparency regarding its objectives and results, and to take on board suggestions and feedback.
In this regard, the company has embarked on a process that will lead to the certification of its Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001:2015, scheduled for the second half of 2026.
All of the above is based on the premise that:
“If we use more than we can regenerate, problems arise.
If we pollute more than the environment can clean up, we will be suffocated.
If we wish to live in harmony with the environment, we must understand that the way we have lived so far is not the only possible way of life, but that there is always the possibility of identifying different, more virtuous paths.”
